How to Donate to The OSU James through ROC On!

If you're running or walking the Columbus Marathon for ROC On, please consider asking donor for $2 for every mile you intend to complete. The half marathon is 13.1 miles, meaning a donation of $26. I certainly hope some donors would like to give us $52 or $100. I am hoping to have a small gift to give those who give $100 or more.

If you prefer to work your way through the James Website, start with step 1. For immediate access, start with step 8. For either of these stpes, clicking on the link will create a new browser page, so you can use these instructions for reference.

1. Go to The James donation website.
2. Put your cursor over “How to Give” along the left side and choose “Memorial and Tribute Gifts.”
3. Click on the blue words “online giving form” at the bottom of the page.
4. Click on the “Search for more funds” link that is below the maroon square on the right side of the page.
5. There is a box next to “Search All Funds” at the top of the page. It is best to put in the number 311812. You can also put in Neuro-oncology Research Fund, but that will bring up four choices. The choice you would want is the one with the same fund number (311812). This number ensures that the money goes directly into research only.
6. Click “Go” after putting the number in.
7. The page will bring up the fund. Click on the name of the fund.
8. On the donation page for the Dardinger fund, click on “Add to Gift List.”
9. Put the amount of your donation in the maroon box and click on “Complete Your Gift.”
10. There are three choices at the bottom of the next page. Click on the third choice, “This gift is in honor of someone.”
11. Boxes will appear on the same page, asking for the name of the person. Please put the group name “ROC on!” in as the name. You can also add behind it the name of the person you are honoring that is on our team.
12. Put Laurie Dangler’s address in the address boxes: 485B Mendenhall Laboratory, 125 S. Oval Mall, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
13. Click on “Submit/Go to Step 2”
14. This page asks for your information. You DO NOT need to have an alumnus or ID number to donate. You do need to fill out all the boxes with red stars on them. Once you have entered your information, click on “Submit/Go to Step 3”.
15. This page will ask for your credit card information. Enter the information and then click on “Submit”.
16. The next page should give you confirmation that your donation was received.

You will receive a tax receipt for your donation. Thank you for helping our fight to find a cure!
